On the new MapleStory Facebook page, they released a preview of the new Resistance! I think they look very cool, Battle Mage looks more mechanical, Mechanic’s robot looks much spiffier, and Wild Hunter’s jaguar seems to have received a new weapon!
They said the final product might be different from these illustrations, I’m just wondering when we’ll finally get it! Anyways, there was also a small Tespia patch with Halloween events (to be covered later) and a few other changes.
Star Marvel and Showdown! Typing Defense in Star Planet have been renewed. The games and their rules have been changed in order to make them more fun for players.
They also added in a rule where in any minigame, if you do not perform a move for 3 turns, you will automatically lose and be penalized. Finally! I hated when users would AFK, games would take sooo long.
Something new called Maple Talk has been added to the chatting system. Basically, before, to talk with a group of people, you’d have to open the Maple Chat and invite them. Then to keep talking, you’d have to keep the window open.

Now, you can create a Maple Talk group in the chat at the bottom of your screen. Click the arrow on the top right to open the new UI, where you can choose to use the ‘regular chat’ window or create a Maple Talk group.
The Maple Talk chat group will appear as a tab in your chats, just like the all chat, buddy, guild, etc. There can be up to 6 people in your Maple Talk group.
Two new Damage Skins, the Korean Damage Skin and the Halloween Damage Skin have been added. The second is from the new Halloween events but I’m not sure about the first.
Three new pets, Wounded Orca, Petite Suu, and Petite Gelimer have been added! They form the Black Heaven set haha. Thanks to 네오서울 of Insoya for the picture
